Sue Perkins to present BTAs
Former Great British Bake Off presenter and comedian Sue Perkins will be the presenter at this year’s British Travel Awards.
Perkins is currently presenting a travel programme ‘The Ganges with Sue Perkins’ on BBC1.
The theme of the November 29 event has also been confirmed as ‘Winter Wonderland’.
The venue, London’s Battersea Evolution, will be decked out with an Alpine theme, with log cabins, ski gondolas and a fire pit to set the scene.
Consumer voting in the 2017 British Travel Awards is now closed and the shortlisted companies are gearing up for the awards night, when the winners will be announced.
BTA CEO Lorraine Barnes Burton said: "Anyone who hasn’t booked to attend must hurry up, as there are only eight tables left.
"It’s such a brilliant event; a chance to dress up, an entertainment packed evening with a glamorous pre-awards drinks reception, a four-course dinner with wine, live entertainment, a DJ and dancing, brilliant travel industry networking and for some the excitement of winning a coveted British Travel Award."
The BTAs will again be filmed for a two-hour Awards special programme being screened across the Made Television city network, on December 1.
