Sun’s the top priority for Brits wanting to get away
Warm weather is the top priority for people looking for a spring holiday, according to a new study
The poll of 421 customers by travel add-ons company Holidayextras.comfound that almost half (48%) stated that their choice for a spring holiday would be "anywhere with warm weather".
Almost a third of people (31%) would choose to travel abroad for their spring break, despite the weak pound.
Around two in ten (18%) would still opt for a trip to mainland Europe and 13% would consider a long haul trip.
Twenty-one per cent would prefer a break in Britain.
The company’s managing director Mike Whiting said: "I’m not surprised that so many people want guaranteed sunshine this spring, and while some people will certainly be choosing to holiday closer to home, tourism abroad is still high on the agenda for most.”
