Swiss-Belhotel expanding Zest budget brand across Indonesia
Swiss-Belhotel International has a renewed zest for the Indonesian market.
The group says it will nearly triple its current portfolio of budget brand Zest Hotels in Indonesia.
It currently operates seven hotels in Java, Batam and Bali and expects to increase that to 20 hotels by 2020.
It is targeting a range of destinations with newly signed contracts in some far-flung cities including Ambon, Timika, Manado and Jailolo.
"We see strong potential for the expansion of Zest Hotels across Indonesia. The rapid growth of second and third tier cities, and enhanced low-cost air connectivity mean that the future opportunities for Zest Hotels are almost limitless," said Emmanuel Guillard, CEO of Zest Hotel International.
Guillard is also Swiss-Belhotel International’s SVP of operations and development for Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam.
For additional signings the company is eyeing emerging regions such as Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Sumatra and North Maluku as well as adding hotels in Jakarta and Bali.
