Tampa Bay boosts accessible travel options
Boosting its accessible travel credentials, Visit Tampa Bay announced a new partnership with Wheel the World.
Wheel the World is an online travel platform for people with disabilities to book accessible travel accommodations and experiences.
Wheel the World has spent several months independently assessing the destination’s largest hotels and attractions.
It has detailed insights, comprehensive guides and specialized customer support for customers.
Wheel the World was founded in Chile by two friends Camilo Navarro and Alvaro Silberstein.
Visit Tampa Bay has also expanded its role with TravelAbility,
It is surveying 750+ partners to gather information about Tampa Bay’s accessibility options for disabled and mobility impaired visitors.
“As the first in Florida to work with Wheel the World, and our alliance with TravelAbility, we are working diligently to showcase Tampa Bay as a welcoming destination,” said Santiago C. Corrada, CEO of Visit Tampa Bay.
Following on the success of its Riverwalk Attraction Pass, Visit Tampa Bay has also introduced an Accessible Tampa Riverwalk Pass.
The one and three-day passes feature accessible travel experiences for all to enjoy adventure, culture and history in Tampa.
