Thai sees online bookings soar
Thai Airways reports that it has boosted online domestic bookings by 200% over three months following the introduction of Amadeus’ e-Merchandise software.
The airline now uses the product in five key markets, boosting shopping capabilities online.
It now plans to quadruple web bookings by the end of 2009.
The e-Merchandise product offers a full calendar display and options to upsell on the Thai Airways website.
Vice President marketing planning and revenue management Thai Airways Khun Danuj Bunnag said: “Since 2000, we have also been working with Amadeus to continuously improve the online user experience and functionality that we offer to customers through our website. The results we have seen so far from Amadeus are outstanding, both in terms of 200% growth in online bookings as well as the improvements in our look-to-book ratio of 62 percent.â€
