The reality of the car rental MolePoll
TravelMolers who read yesterday’s article on the ongoing spat related to the direct sell, wholesale rates car rental issue between the car rental sector at large and Driveaway will recall that it appears that a flood of NO votes came in yesterday.
It also appeared that the majority of those NO votes were coming from Driveaway’s ISP, from others known to work for Driveaway and from a heap of unidentified gmail and hot mail addresses, seemingly it appears trying to influence the MolePoll – sounds like some of those travel and tourism awards issues you hear about from time to time!
There was no such ISP pattern in the YES votes.
In any case, being a highly technically orientated business, we know a great deal more than these potential influencers and NO voters think and an overnight analysis by our extremely capable technical gurus has shown that if the NO voters that appear to have attempted to influence the MolePoll were taken out, the % of YES votes would jump right back to nearly 100% – confirming that TravelMole subscribers say that they do think that Kemwel.com.au is aimed at cutting travel agents out of car rental bookings.
Interestingly though the comments on TravelMole yesterday did not come from any of the voices one would imagine they would come from with both Driveaway and other car rental wholesalers, including some normally vociferous characters remaining rather quiet.
Bear with The Mole as the uncovering goes on!
