Thomas Cook Sport blames others for Man City flight delay
Thomas Cook Sport has blamed an administrative error for a much-publicised two-day delay to Manchester City’s flight to China.
The football team was due to fly to Shanghai for the start of its summer tour on Saturday evening, but this was postponed at the last minute.
Thomas Cook Sport blamed the delay with the Aeronexus flight on unnamed third parties.
A spokesman said: "Due to an administrative error with third parties, Manchester City’s flight with Aeronexus was delayed by two days. We have resolved this issue."
The flight eventually left yesterday, 48 hours late.
