Thomas Cook to open second Casa Cook hotel
Thomas Cook is to open its second own-brand hotel on the Greek island of Kos in July 2017.
It says the opening follows the success of Casa Cook Rhodes which opened in May (pictured above).
The Casa Cook concept is part of Thomas Cook’s attempt to attract a new generation of customers to the brand.
It is designed for couples, friends, solo travellers and families looking for an ‘alternative holiday’ without kids activities and entertainment.
The new hotel, Casa Cook Kos, will be located between countryside and the long sandy beaches in the seaside town of Marmari.
Newly-built, it will have 100 bedrooms, including exclusive two-bedroom Villa Suites with their own private pools.
Facilities include yoga classes, a state-of-the-art gym, hammam, massages and the Casa Cook Beach Club, a first for Thomas Cook.
The Beach Club will offer guests, and non-hotel guests, a space to sunbathe, dine and listen to live music from a resident DJ.
Thomas Cook group creative director Remo Masala said: "We designed the Casa Cook concept to appeal to travellers who perhaps thought a package holiday wasn’t for them – for those who want a unique experience.
"In just one season, our first Casa Cook in Rhodes has shown us the size of opportunity. We’re delighted to be able to build on this success with the launch of a new Casa Cook in Kos."
It said around 90% of customers who stayed at Casa Cook Rhodes have been new to Thomas Cook.
Prices at the Kos hotel start at £525 per person for a week on a bed and breakfast board basis, departing from London Stansted.
