Thomson to drop ‘Discover your Smile’ creative agency

TUI UK has appointed Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R (RKCR/Y&R) as the new creative agency for their Thomson and First Choice travel brands.

The win follows last year’s merger between TUI Travel PLC and TUI AG and marks a more integrated pan-European approach to TUI’s marketing strategy.

RKCR/Y&R has already begun work on First Choice and the Thomson brand will follow in 2016.

RKCR/Y&R’s current clients include Premier Inn, Marks & Spencer, Lloyds and the BBC.

BMB, the creative agency which developed the ‘Discover your smile’ slogan for Thomson in 2014 will retain the account until early 2016.

Thomson and First Choice marketing director Jeremy Ellis said: "Over the last 10 years BMB has been a fantastic partner, helping us to create many award-winning campaigns.

"Our advertising has moved into a different league, away from the package holiday clichés to ‘talk of the town’ emotional storytelling. I’d really like to thank BMB for their hard work and support of our success. We’re looking forward to continuing our exciting journey by partnering with RKCR/Y&R and leveraging their longstanding creative excellence."
