TIPTO appoints eighth Agent Ambassador

Thursday, 18 Sep, 2019 0

TIPTO has welcomed Amanda Parsonage as its eighth Agent Ambassador.

Director of Grosvenor Travel in Chester, she joins the programme to help to inform TIPTO’s strategic direction for the coming year.

She will be invited to TIPTO’s General Meetings and play an integral role in influencing the set up and delivery of roadshow events and training sessions, member incentives and more.

Ambassadors are also given first refusal on invites to special VIP events such as Ladies Day at the Races.

"I have been a regular attendee of TIPTO events since coming into travel three years ago and I truly believe the information and industry insights provided by suppliers add real value to our day to day work," said Parsonage.

"I think TIPTO is a must for all agents. Its varied event formats offer so much supplier support and really do help agents keep their finger on the pulse of the industry. It’s certainly helped me grow and I’m now excited to repay that debt by helping the association to strategically grow for the benefit of the wider travel trade."

Could you be a TIPTO Agent Ambassador?
TIPTO is still on the look out for more ambassadors but you must meet the criteria. You must regularly attend TIPTO roadshow events and be registered at www.tipto.co.uk. It’s also essential that you have a ‘proactive and motivated’ approach to working with TIPTO’s independent tour operator members.

If you think you fit the bill, email TIPTO on [email protected], stating your case and give an example of your relevant skills.

Other agents on the TIPTO ambassador panel are Jo Richards of Tivoli Travel, Paul Knapper of Spires Travel, Jennifer Harding, a Hays Travel Personal Travel Consultant, Beryl Towne of Altham’s Travel, Stef Trevett of Baileys Travel, Sara Allen of Dartmouth Travel, and Su Dillon of Travel Counsellors.
