TIPTO boosts membership
Airport transfer specialist Resort Hoppa has joined marketing consortium TIPTO.
Two other suppliers are also poised to become members of the group, bringing the total up to 20.
TIPTO chairman Nigel Harris (OVP Travel) said “We are also very confident of being able to announce another two new members in the coming weeks.
“This really is further endorsement of TIPTO’s strength in communicating with independent travel agencies and the importance that companies place on that relationship.â€
Resort Hoppa sales and marketing director Paul Cowley believes membership of TIPTO can help boost sales through independent agents.
He said: “One of the things we need to do is get out there and strengthen our face to face contact with independent agents.
“TIPTO’s annual schedule of 19 roadshows around the country will be ideal for us and the excellent training and communication opportunities available via its website is another bonus.â€
Cowley has past experience of TIPTO, having previously worked for Sunquest Holidays, a founder member of the organisation eight years ago.
He added: “Agents think of the accommodation-only companies and the airlines but they are not thinking sufficiently about the link in between.
“The way the market is going, our services are going to be increasingly required by agents.â€
