TIPTO plans single agents’ awards ceremony

Friday, 18 Apr, 2005 0

Marketing organisation TIPTO – Truly Independent professional Travel Organisation – has unveiled details of its 2005 agents’ awards.

The black-tie awards ceremony for top Northern and Southern independent agents is to be held at the Hilton Waldorf in London on August 4.

The 21 members of TIPTO will nominate their best-performing independent agents from among the 2,500 the group works with throughout the year.

More than 40 nominated agents will be invited to attend the event, which has been amalgamated into a single ceremony this year rather than separate functions in the north and south of the UK.

Agents will be chosen based on sales, attendance at TIPTO events and use of the organisation’s website for information, promotions and training.

TIPTO chairman Ian Mounser (Superbreak) said: “Our awards have grown in stature over the last few years. With TIPTO now in its sixth year, we felt the prestige of our agents’ awards warranted a more formal occasion and we look forward to welcoming our most successful retail partners to what promises to be a great evening in London.”
