Tour operators coming back to The Big Easy
In New Orleans, the tour operators are returning.
One of the latest to return to operation after Hurricane Katrina: Collete Vacations, which is renewing its $699 five-day tours of the French Quarter.
Some of the trips are selling out. Collete says it is donating all profits to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.
Globus plans to return to New Orleans this fall. It will have a seven-day Romance of the South tour, costing $2,259.
Cosmos, a sister brand to Globus, started trips back to the region two months ago. Trafalgar is also offering nine-day “Tastes and Sounds of the South” bus vacations that begin in Nashville and end in New Orleans.
