Tourico first wholesaler to bulk buy activities and attractions
Online wholesaler Tourico Holidays has announced a new contracting method to secure availability for activities and attractions.
By pre-buying in advance, it can pass on savings to its travel agent clients and ensure availability even during peak demand, the company says.
“By pre-purchasing activities and attractions in bulk from key suppliers, in key markets, we are able to secure even greater discounts, which we can then pass on to our clients,” said Ofir Cohen, Executive Vice President of Global Activities for Tourico Holidays.
“Tourico’s not only offering discounts on ancillary products of up to 42% off of retail, we’re also ensuring our clients have access to last minute availability – even in high-demand markets.”
Ofir likens the contracting methodology to that of pre-paying for room blocks at hotels.
Tourico has started block-booking with 27 activities and attractions providers including the High Roller observation wheel in Las Vegas and the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C.
