Tourism New Zealand appoints Asia regional manager
Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) has appointed Steven Dixon in the role as new regional manager for South and South East Asia.
Dixon will be based in Singapore and will head TNZ’s marketing activities in the region, spanning the markets of India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
He has previously worked as TNZ business events manager for the North America region based in Los Angeles.
Before joining the agency in 2011, Dixon held hotel management positions in Dunedin and Christchurch, and also oversaw the launch of Hotel So in Christchurch.
"I am delighted that we have someone of Steven’s calibre to head the team in South and South East Asia. We are already seeing high double digit growth across a range of markets in the region, and under Steven’s leadership, I am confident there will be much more to come," said David Craig, general manager Asia for TNZ.
