Transport secretary to speak at ABTA conference
Transport secretary Justine Greening is to speak at ABTA’s Travel Matters conference on 10 May for the second consecutive year.
She will open ABTA’s flagship policy event with a keynote speech, followed by a panel discussion and questions and answers at the event in Millbank, Westminster.
Greening is expected to update the conference on government plans to address capacity concerns and encourage investment in the UK and will provide the latest on progress with the Civil Aviation Bill and ATOL reform.
Mark Tanzer, ABTA chief executive said: "ABTA is delighted to welcome back the Transport Secretary to Travel Matters for a second year to join the debate on the significant policy areas that shape our industry.
"With so many important topics to cover, including aviation capacity, infrastructure investment and ATOL reform, it’s a fantastic opportunity for delegates to hear the very latest on government plans and put their questions directly to the Secretary of State."
