Dnata Travel has promoted Tricia Birmingham to the role of product and commercial director of Gold Medal and Travel 2.

Starting next week and reporting to MD Lisa McAuley, Birmingham will manage the product and pricing teams in both Gold Medal and Travel 2 offices.

"I’m thrilled to be able to announce this much deserved promotion," said McAuley. "Recruiting from within to maximise the phenomenal talent sitting within the business is a great testament to the market-leading quality of our home grown team.

"Tricia’s impressive track record brings invaluable experience to the new role. I look forward to working with her much more closely over the coming months driving forward more opportunities for our business."

Birmingham joined the business in October 2016 where she took responsibility as senior product manager for the Middle East, Indian Ocean and Africa. Prior to joining Dnata, she held senior roles at Shearings Holidays and the BCT Travel Group.
