Travel charity seeks new trustees
The Travel Foundation is seeking applications from figures in the travel industry interested in joining its board of trustees.
The charity is seeking new recruits with a genuine interest in the sustainability of travel and tourism due to planned trustee rotation in 2007 and 2008, and the planned retirement of chairman Derek Stevens next year
The board of trustees is drawn from senior travel industry figures, sustainability experts and NGOs and is managed by an executive team based in Bristol.
The new trustees would be appointed for a term of three years and would work alongside current trustees including ABTA chief executive Mark Tanzer, Stephanie Draper of Forum for the Future, and Jonathan Mitchell, of the Overseas Development Institute.
The Travel Foundation is also looking for a treasurer. The treasurer is a trustee with the additional responsibility of overseeing the financial governance of the charity and appropriate financial management experience is required.
