Travel Counsellors in bid for business agents

Travel Counsellors is looking to lure business agents to its homeworking network amid claims they can provide a greater level of service than the major travel management firms.

The agency, which has 50 dedicated business agents, said personal service and attention to detail is not possible in a large company with a call-centre environment.

Head of business travel Kevin Heath called on experienced agents to join its business team.

“The service provided by our home-based business travel counsellors is particularly suited to small and medium sized companies who want the reassurance of having someone they know and trust handling their travel arrangements,” he said.

“They can offer a level of personal service that simply isn’t possible in the typical call centre environment that exists is most of the bigger business travel agencies.”

He added that Travel Counsellors Bolton-based business travel division provides homeworkers by negotiating group-wide supplier deals and providing help desk, IT and administrative support.
