Travel Counsellors is celebrating record-breaking sales over peaks.

Group sales for January hit £125 million, which up 12% on the previous year and 68% on pre-pandemic levels.

It marks the best January and best ever sales month in the company’s 30-year history.

Around £47 million of sales across the month were for tailored TC packages, making it the biggest month of sales for them.

During January, the company saw seven of the top 10 best ever sales days.

The biggest ever sales day reached £7.5 million in a single day.

Also, in January, 414 Travel Counsellor business owners celebrated their best ever month while 110 TCs bagged total sales of over £200,000.

The top leisure destinations in January were Spain, the US, Greece, the United Arab Emirates and cruise bookings.

For corporate, the US, domestic travel and Saudi Arabia proved most popular for clients.

Steve Byrne, CEO at Travel Counsellors said: “We are delighted with these figures, thanks to the dedication and hard work of our Travel Counsellors, support team colleagues and supplier partners.”

To celebrate peaks sales a special edition of the company’s TCTV show was produced live in their in-house studio, along with a celebratory lunchtime event at the support team centre.
