Travel firms ranked the UK’s ‘best companies to work for’

Travel firms have featured prominently in the recent Sunday Times survey highlighting the UK’s best companies to work for.

Three companies featured in the top 20 medium sized companies and four made the top 25 large companies.

Red Carnation Hotels was the third best company to work for in the mid category of 250 to 3,000 employees, while travel comparison site, Skyscanner, came in 5th.

Holiday Extras was in 20th place.

Travel agencies and tour ops also featured with Flight Centre being ranked 55th, Hays Travel being 60th, Kuoni getting 89th place and Audley Travel getting 91st.

The Lancaster Hotel was 72nd and Parkdean Holidays were 85th.

Bourne Leisure came 4th in Britain’s top 25 ‘best big companies’ (3,000 plus employees), American Express came 6th, Marriot Hotels International in 9th place and attraction operator, Merlin Entertainments Group came 14th.

The Sunday Times’ 16th annual survey ranked Britain’s employers in response to feedback from their staff.

A total of 241,361 people filled out the anonymous questionnaires asking about their bosses, their working conditions and their employer’s values.
