Travel job vacancies rise
The number of new travel job vacancies jumped by 46% last month, according to C&M Travel Recruitment.
July’s big increase marked the third highest monthly total of the year so far.
It was up by 7% from pre-pandemic July 2019.
There was also positive news in terms of placements with a 14% monthly increase in new hires.
Travel job placements have now risen for three consecutive months.
July’s total is the highest since March.
However, the number of new candidates searching for travel jobs dipped slightly by 4%.
Barbara Kolosinska, MD at C&M Travel Recruitment, said: “It’s mid-summer with all of the usual holiday distractions, so we don’t expect activity to truly pick up again until September,”
“Yet last month still saw many travel companies recruiting.”
