"Jordan is a natural destination for religious and affinity groups and this tour will help faith-based and affinity travel planners personally discover and experience our hospitality and holy sites," said Malia Asfour, director of Jordan Tourism Board North America.
The six-night itinerary includes Mount Nebo, Bethany Beyond the Jordan, reputed to be the site of Jesus’s baptism, Petra, and the Dead Sea.
The Group Travel Leader publisher Mac Lacy will accompany the tour.
"I look forward to sharing this experience with my fellow travelers and with our readers as well and both have the potential to bring their groups back to Jordan for years to come," Lacy said.
Travel professional interested in joining the tour are required to complete a survey to outline their group profile and travel patterns.
Approved travel planners pay a $475 registration fee and the tour includes return flights from Chicago-O’Hare and all accommodations, meals, and transportation costs.
