It was yet another difficult day for travel and tourism shares yesterday, despite London’s main equity index making a small gain. The FTSE 100 index managed to gain 3.3 points to close at 4545 despite being in negative territory for most of the session, while the FTSE 250 lost 57.5 points to end the day at 6302. British Airways had another tough day, losing 11.25p to close at 309p, while EasyJet and Ryanair also suffered, dropping 9.5p to 318.5p and 7.375p to 318p respectively.
