Travel & Tourism Marketing Association Announces Sponsors for their September 25th Awards Luncheon

The Travel and Tourism Marketing Association (TTMA) is the premier organization devoted to providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information among professionals from diverse tourism industry sectors.

The TTMA announced its appreciation to the following companies for participation as sponsors at its annual Awards ceremony being held on September 25, 2008 at the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, CA. 

Their sponsors include: The San Antonio Winery in downtown Los Angeles, The Corniche Group, InterContinental Dallas, AAA Westways Magazine, LA INC., The LeMerigot Hotel & Resort in Santa Monica, Kramer Communications, The Original Farmers Market at Third and Fairfax, and The Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens.

Tom LaBonge, L.A. City Council Member has confirmed his acceptance to introduce the Anastasia K. Mann award winner, Mark Liberman, President  & CEO of LA INC.  LMr. a Bonge is passing the torch as he was the 2007 recipient of the Anastasia K. Mann Leadership Award.

The Anastasia K. Mann Leadership Award and the TTMA Landmark Award were created to honor leaders in the travel and tourism industry. The Anastasia K. Mann Leadership Award is bestowed upon individuals whose direction and vision have made a lasting impact on the travel and tourism industry. The TTMA Landmark Award was created to publicly acknowledge important tourism landmarks representing vital and dynamic examples of historically and culturally significant places, which play an important role in Southern California tourism.

Chairman of the 2008 TTMA Awards is Jean-Pierre Gaspar of the InterContinental Dallas and Geneva and Vice-Chair is Travel Mole’s own publisher Frances Kiradjian of The Kiradjian Group and of TravelMole.

Current board members include: Lovetta Kramer of Kramer Communications (President); Elizabeth McDonald, Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (Vice president); Carrie Tayloe, Go Los Angeles Card/Smart Destinations (Secretary) and Lance Haddix, Law Offices of Lance Haddix (Treasurer).  Directors for 2008: Richard Bublitz, R.C. Bublitz & Associates; Ilysha Buss, The Original Farmers Market; Jean-Pierre Gaspar, InterContinental Dallas & Geneva; Jerri Harris, AAA Westways Magazine and William Karz, LA INC.

The gourmet luncheon menu, prepared by Pasadena’s well-known restaurateur, Pedro Noriega, Chef and Owner of Pita! Pita! will include Sirloin Steak and Alaskan Salmon with all the trimmings and finishing off the meal with a divine Caramel Cake.  Eric Buss Comedian and Magician, who will also act as the event’s Master of Ceremonies, will entertain the day’s guests.

The awards ceremony will be held Thursday, September 25th, 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at The Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, CA.  Tickets are still available. Contacting Joanie McClellan at 800-511-4001.
