Traveleye adds conference bookings

Agents will now be able to search and book conference venues through Traveleye.

The new content is possible due to a decision by British Meeting and Conference Venues (BMCV) to team up with NTL Business (Travel Division) on its agency selling system, Traveleye. Agents will click on a BMCV link and be taken to a special version of its e-venues website, adapted to have the Traveleye look.

Agents can then browse through hundreds of conference venues in the UK, and book via email. BMCV’s operations director, Nick Sachno claims it is the first venue finder to launch on an agency selling system.

The commission paid to agents varies according to the venue and type of booking made.

NTL Business (Travel Division) travel product manager, Howard Tinker said: “”At the time of our company re-brand from X-TANT to NTL Business (Travel Division), we made clear our intention to target new sectors in the travel industry. This agreement with BMCV marks the start of Traveleye’s expansion into business travel.”

Other companies that allow agency bookings through Traveleye are Superbreak, Hertz, Holiday Autos and BCP. Traveleye also enables Viewdata bookings with operators and other travel suppliers. Traveleye claims to have over 5,500 agency users.
