Travelodge seeks development sites in Berkshire
Travelodge is looking for further sites in Berkshire after opening a hotel in Winnersh Triangle, near Reading.
"Berkshire is a key growth area for us and as part of our development strategy we are looking to open a further six hotels across the county and are looking for sites in: Ascot, Slough, Sandhurst, Reading, Windsor and Wokingham," said Julia Rosamond, Travelodge human resource director.
The £7 million 93-bedroom Winnersh Triangle Travelodge officially opened this week.
It was built on the former site of Microsoft’s head quarters at and is minutes away from a train station with direct services to London Paddington and Waterloo.
During the last 12 months, Travelodge has invested £3.7million as part of its £100 million nationwide modernisation programme giving all of its hotels across Berkshire a makeover.
These include hotels in Bracknell Central, Maidenhead, Newbury London Road, Reading Central, Slough and Windsor Central.
