Travelport names new CFO

Monday, 15 Dec, 2015 0
Travel distribution platform Travelport has appointed Bernard Bot as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Taking over on January 1, 2016, Bot is currently CFO at Irish national carrier Aer Lingus.

Bot will relocate to Travelport’s Langley, UK headquarters and reports to CEO Gordon Wilson.

Dutch national Bot will have responsibility for investor relations, treasury, tax, financial planning and analysis, and procurement.

"As we continue to deliver the Travelport vision of redefining travel commerce, having someone with Bernard’s challenging thinking, intellect and experience on our leadership team will be highly advantageous," said Wilson.

Bot, who previously served as CFO at TNT Express, replaces Philip Emery at Travelport, who is taking a break from the industry for family reasons.

Emery will stay with Travelport during the first few months of 2016 to enable a smooth handover.
