Travelport releases new Smartpoint update
Leading travel commerce platform Travelport has launched a new revamped version of Travelport Smartpoint.
The new release will enable agents to market a wider range of air, hotel and car rental contentand is linked to a virtual account number (VAN) payment solution, provided by partner eNett.
The latest version integrates Travelport’s rich content and branding air merchandising solutions for more than 70 commercial airlines.
Added features include graphical seat maps and added ancillary sales opportunities for bag and lounge access fees.
The interface allows for browsing and booking full service and low-cost airlines alongside each other in the agent workflow and interactive screens to make selling extra services such as hotel rooms and car rental more intuitive.
"We’ve spent a lot of time listening to our customers and assessing their unmet needs when it comes to making and paying for air, hotel and car bookings," said Jason Clarke, Travelport’s managing director, global sales.
"This latest version of Smartpoint is truly ground-breaking in integrating a very sophisticated airline merchandising proposition."
