Travelport’s Trip Assist coming to Asia Pacific
Travelport is bringing its mobile solutions product Travelport Trip Assist to Asia Pacific.
TMCs and travel agencies can engage better with customers offering the right information and customer experience at the right time for smartphone users, Travelport says.
It supports agents in ‘providing a seamless, trusted and personalised mobile customer experience in line with the expectations of today’s ‘always-on’ traveller.’
Trip Assist’s suite of tools include push-notification reminders and alerts in real time, smart itinerary management, a personal digital concierge, and the option to call an agent within the app.
"The increasingly connected traveller expects support throughout their trip. Customer engagement via mobile is now critical for agencies of all sizes and we believe that the business travel industry and business travellers are not yet well-served. We are delighted to bring Trip Assist to TMCs and travel agencies in this region," said Fergal Kelly, CCO of Travelport Digital.
The rate of mobile bookings is growing in Asia pacific faster than any other region in the world and by 2020, 76% of the growth of online travel will be fuelled by mobile sales.
