Travelscope develops ‘agent friendly’ brochure range
Travelscope is wooing the trade by encouraging consumers to book with travel agents.
The operator has been actively developing links with agents in the past nine months and claims 1,000 retailers are now selling the company’s holidays.
Previously a reader offer based operator, Travelscope’s move to develop sales through the trade includes a special agents’ edition of a new Worldwide Collection brochure for 2006-07.
Agents are being offered the chance to win a trip to China plus 10 runner up prizes of £150 off holidays in the programme which features more than 20 itineraries.
Head of retail sales Darren Parris said: “The Worldwide Collection is the first in the Travelscope family of brochures to be specially produced in a new ‘agent friendly’ format where we will be encouraging customers to book through their local travel agent.
“We have removed the majority of our own brand imagery and contact details and instead provided space for agents to add their own identity. On all of these new publications Travelscope has put both big and bold ‘Book direct with your travel agent’.”
