TravelTainment and Dolphin Dynamics launch “end-to-end” leisure travel booking solution

Travel technology specialists TravelTainment and Dolphin Dynamics have formed a strategic sales partnership in order to launch a new integrated retail travel booking solution and secure a greater share of the UK retail travel agency software market.

The new ‘end-to-end’ Package and Dynamic Package selling and booking management solution comprises of TravelTainment’s TravelOffice providing the front end search and book capability together with Dolphin’s mid and back office technology. TravelTainment has already established TravelOffice (named as ‘Bistro’ in Germany) as the standard and market leading solution for travel agents in Germany.

TravelTainment’s Sales Director Colin Mckee said, "The UK market is very different to the German market when connecting with the operators to check availability and make bookings. There has been, and still is, in the UK, a huge reliance on the Viewdata networks and this presents some real challenges when it comes to speed, particularly during peaks. TravelOffice has been developed to meet the requirements of the UK travel agent, plus provide users with the fastest search and book platform available, together with access to all mainstream package and dynamically packaged options. Our uniqueness in the market is our super-fast (sub second), innovative technology together with direct connectivity to make bookings with operators, whilst avoiding Viewdata connections in the vast majority of cases."

TravelOffice offers comparative search and booking functionality for mainstream packages and dynamically packaged holidays with leading UK operators and travel suppliers. With bookings automatically handed-off to Dolphin for customer document fulfilment and ongoing business reporting, workflow management, travel accounting and customer/supplier payment services. Along with advanced marketing campaign and customer database management functions.

Roberto Da Re, President at Dolphin Dynamics added, "The package holiday sector of the market is something we did not have an offering for before. We have always anticipated that Viewdata is going to die and rather than align Dolphin with this technology we have been waiting for an alternative solution to become available that better suited agent’s needs. TravelTainment has taken the bull by the horns and we therefore jumped at the opportunity to integrate TravelOffice with Dolphin – and finally offer UK retail travel agents a Viewdata-Killer application offering fast, efficient and modern selling and booking management technology."
