Traveltek Showcases Next Generation Cruise Software at IPW 2019

Tuesday, 03 Jun, 2019 0

As in previous years, Traveltek will again be represented at IPW 2019 from the 3rd to 5th June. At this year’s event, Traveltek will be presenting its enhanced cruise software, in addition to its extensive portfolio of travel technology solutions. The Traveltek team has a number of pre-organised appointments with industry professionals from various travel backgrounds including travel agents, tour operators, cruise specialists, airlines, payment gateway providers, bed banks, ancillary providers and many more.

At the event, Vice-President of Sales – Americas, Kevin Walker, will be joined by Chief Commercial Officer, Cressida Sergeant. While at IPW, both Kevin and Cress are keen to meet event attendees who are looking for a software solution or who are interested in becoming integrated within the platform as a supplier.

IPW is widely recognised as one of the biggest travel trade events in America and is set to welcome more than 6200 industry professionals from over 70 countries. Analytics reveal that during the event more than 90,000 20-minute business appointments will take place, generating over $28 billion in total business transactions as a result.

In 2019, IPW will be held in the city of Anaheim, California, best known as the home to the renowned Disneyland resort. As a token nod to its roots, IPW will be holding the opening evening in the Disney theme park on Sunday 2nd June 2019.

Innovation in Cruise

Kevin Walker is particularly excited about this year’s event as it will be a key opportunity to promote Traveltek’s enhanced cruise software within the US market. "Traveltek’s strengthened platform provides a centralised, re-usable set of base components which are now used in all cruise builds," said Walker.

"The product is highly configurable in display and functionality, allowing us to meet a broad range of customer needs and offers everything from comprehensive cruise line and ship descriptions to detailed cabin information and supporting images to bring the product to life. Condensing our cruise software builds into one base layer of components allows us to very easily maintain and improve the platform, bringing increased stability and security for our clients."

Statistics suggest that over 14 million Americans will take a cruise in 2019 and is widely recognised as one of the fastest growing travel categories. With more and more consumers expecting the same ability to research and compare cruise experiences as they currently have when booking hotels or flights on the web, it’s clear that cruise distributors must be aware of this shift towards online platforms when researching cruise.
