Traveltek touches down in Sydney
Traveltek, the UK internet technology and cruise sector specialist, has made a further commitment to the Australia and Pacific (APAC) region.
Traveltek Australia has secured a new APAC base office in North Sydney where it will build a team of specialist technical account and project managers to support operations the region.
The move spells the departure of current regional director, Tim Poulter.
Kenny Picken, Traveltek’s CEO said: “Since we entered the Australian market just three years ago, we have secured business from the top cruise retailers and our wholesale cruise distribution product has been hugely successful establishing Traveltek as the clear market leader in our field.
"Traveltek is also a major player in flights, hotels and ancillary products and we need to extend our reach and commitment to Australia by launching our global support service to a 24/7/365 operation and by expanding our team of professionals within Australia.
"We are sad to be losing Tim (Poulter) but our success has created the need to increase our support of our clients in Australia and New Zealand.”
Picken said Traveltek had extended its reach into Singapore, "so Sydney appears to be the perfect base from which to support our local and international growth in our core travel technology, encompassing not just cruise but all the main components, such as flights and hotels".
