Triton conference special: Dickson – you must toe the line
Former retailer Andrew Dickson told Triton agents they needed to get behind the merger and be committed to its proposals.
Dickson, who formerly owned St Andrew´s Travel in Bolton, rejected the claim by Triton management that agents could get behind their products if they wished, but would not be pushed into it.
“This bit yesterday about how you can join in if you want, or not if you don´t won´t work,” he said.
“You have to say if you are going to be in and you have to support it. You have to toe the line. At the moment we have so many loose cannons who want to do what they´ve always done and it´s not acceptable.
“If you want to go skiing, you´ve got to buy a ski pass.”
