Troubled QM2 forced into dock
Troubled liner Queen Mary 2 has hit further problems with the cancellation of two cruises.
Owners Cunard said the ship, the subject of a threatened sit-in by disgruntled passengers last month, will be forced into dry dock to undergo repairs to a propeller pod problem in May and again in November.
According to the BBC it will lead to the cancellation of a 12-day Mediterranean cruise in May and a seven night Caribbean itinerary in November.
They will be replaced with a six-day cruise of the Norwegian fjords and a seven-night transatlantic sailing from Southampton to Ford Lauderdale.
Passengers last month threatened a sit-in after stops on a Latin America cruise were scrapped because of a faulty propeller.
