TSA PreCheck registration coming to Staples stores
Office supply retailer Staples will give over store space for TSA PreCheck applications this summer.
It will house IDEMIA’s IdentoGO enrolment centers in 50 stores allowing fliers to sign up for the expedited security screening at airports.
IDEMIA is the exclusive TSA technology partner for the service.
Staples becomes one of only a handful of national chain store companies offering the PreCheck enrolment service.
Once approved PreCheck compliant travelers do not have to remove shoes, laptops, belts and jackets when passing security screening.
PreCheck enrolment costs $85 and is good for five years.
Staples constantly looks for new ways to help businesses succeed, including making it easy for them to travel. This unique relationship with IdentoGO will let us offer our customers additional products and services that are impactful to their lives," said Peter Scala, chief merchandising officer, Staples, Inc.
Stores in the Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York and Seattle metro areas will be the first to get the enrolment centers with more to follow.
