TSA says 40 per cent of employees still unvaccinated
The Transportation Security Administration says there are still about 40% of its workforce unvaccinated.
It comes as the deadline for federal workers to be fully vaccinated is just a few weeks away. The number of vaxxed workers, including airport screeners, ‘needs to go quite a bit higher over the next few weeks,’ TSA Administrator David Pekoske said.
He said the agency is building contingency plans to cope with staffing shortages if vaccination rates don’t quickly improve.
