TTNQ appoints new director
The board of Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ) has named Russell Boswell as General Director.
A 30-year tourism industry veteran, Boswell replaces Katrina Houghton.
"Russell has a particular interest in indigenous tourism and is well respected for his various roles in sustainable tourism," said TTNQ CEO Alex de Waal.
He has held the post of manager of Savannah Way Ltd and Savannah Guides since 2008, and previously worked at four wheel drive safari operator Wilderness Challenge and Tropical North Queensland TAFE.
"It is a privilege to be on the TTNQ Board and I look forward to contributing to the bright future of tourism in Tropical North Queensland at this exciting time," Boswell said.
Boswell is a member of the Queensland Drive Tourism Alliance and the Alliance for Sustainable Tourism in Cairns.
He also serves on state government and national parks committees for tourism development.
