TUI adding Orlando flights at Manchester
TUI is boosting flight capacity from Manchester Airport to Orlando this summer.
It is the latest airline to announced expanded services on the route after Aer Lingus said it is shutting down its transatlantic base at Manchester.
Aer Lingus ends US and Caribbean flights from Manchester next month.
Effective May 22, TUI Airways will fly three times a week from Manchester to Melbourne Orlando International Airport.
Melbourne Orlando is the theme park capital’s secondary airport, within an hour of downtown Orlando and within easy reach of Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center.
Chris Logan, Commercial Director at TUI UK & Ireland, said: “By adding extra capacity alongside our wider Orlando Melbourne flying programme, we’re giving even more customers the chance to enjoy this famous holiday state.”
Aer Lingus’ decision has also led to Virgin Atlantic adding services to Orlando at Manchester this summer.
It is increasing overall capacity to Orlando by about 12% in the peak summer season.
Virgin also said it expects to further enhance frequencies for summer 2027.
