TUI names more UK flights
Thomsonfly.com has announced the launch of 11 destinations from its third UK base.
The airline, which already operates out of Coventry and Bournemouth will launch flights out of Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield, formerly Finningley Airport. The flights will launch on April 28 and will be the first out of the new airport.
The destinations, which went on sale this week from £15.99 each way are: Palma, Pisa, Ibiza, Malaga, Jersey, Faro, Prague, Alicante, Valencia, Dublin and Paris. The routes will be operated by three Boeing 737-300 aircraft each with 148 seats.
Thomson has been selling charter tickets from Robin Hood Airport since April and says forward bookings are positive to various resort destinations including Palma, Tenerife and Corfu.
Thomas Cook is also planning to launch flights from Robin Hood Airport, which is owned by the Peel Airports group. Already known for naming airports after local heroes, it has Liverpool John Lennon Airport under its belt as well as Teesside International.
