Two British tourists shot dead in Thailand
Two British tourists are reported to have been gunned down in Thailand after an argument with a local man.
According to the online news provider Ananova, the 25-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were shot in Kanchanaburi province; they both died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Ananova reports that witnesses saw the couple arguing with the man at a restaurant. He later returned in a car, reportedly shooting the man and then running over the woman as she tried to escape, before shooting her “at close range”.
The British Embassy has reportedly confirmed that two British nationals have been killed, but their identities have not been released because next-of-kin have not yet been informed of the deaths.
