U21Global names new country manager
Australian travel industry veteran John Verhelst has been appointed as Country Manager Australia and New Zealand for U21Global, the world’s premier online Graduate School.
Verhelst has spent more than 30 years in all facets of hospitality sales and marketing, having held senior positions in several travel, hotel and airline establishments in Australia, United Kingdom, the Middle East and Asia.
Before joining U21Global, he was Gulf Air’s Asia/Pacific regional general manager, based in Singapore, overseeing Gulf Air’s activities in Australia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia, as well as the off-line countries of China, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea.
From U21Global’s Sydney office Verhelst will further expand the company’s post graduate products and develop and implement marketing activities aimed at gaining greater recognition for the graduate school at both consumer and corporate level.
U21Global’s CEO, Dr Mukesh Aghi said, “John brings broad management experience and understanding of global issues and perspectives. His new role will help U21Global penetrate the Australia and New Zealand markets and further establish U21Global as one of the leading graduate schools in the world.
