UKinbound has joined forces with specialist Chinese tourism consultancy, Guanxi.

They will hold a series of tourism training workshops for UK businesses to welcome back visitors from China with confidence following a lean three-year period.

The first training course will take place on 3 July hosted at the British Motor Museum in Warwickshire in partnership with DMO Shakespeare’s England.

Joss Croft OBE, CEO of UKinbound said: “Before the pandemic, China was the UK’s second most valuable international market for expenditure, spending £1.7 billion in 2019.”

“We know that the pent-up demand is very high in China but the UK travel trade needs to understand how best to welcome them.”

“These visitors’ outlook will have changed immeasurably since 2019.”

Helena Beard, MD of Guanxi, said: “Our interactive workshops will help tourism and hospitality businesses understand the travel motivations, cultural differences and post-pandemic travel trends.”

“They provide practical tips on how to tailor experiences and other products, communicate with customers, and offer the best kind of service.”

Guanxi is a travel PR and Marketing consultancy, specialising in the Chinese market

It has offices in Beijing and Brighton.
