United Co-op opts for FlightScanner
United Co-op Travel will be the first major agency group to go live with web-based search and booking tool, Dolphin FlightScanner, under an agreement between Dolphin Dynamics and Vertical Group.
The tool will be made available across all the group’s divisions, intorduced initially to the 600 home workers in Future Travel and then to another 1,000 users from Freedom Travel, Co-op Travel and Co-op Travel Management. The complete roll-out is expected to be complete by July.
Dolphin FlightScanner is a booking engine for web fares, searching over 60 suppliers’ websites, the GDS and net fares, from a single screen.
It is being distributed as part of a reseller agreement between software development company Dolphin Dynamics and Vertical Group, a provider of front and back office services.
Dolphin Dynamics’ president Roberto Da Re said: “United Co-op’s decision reinforces the value of our investment into enhanced functionality, including our ability to do credit card masked bookings and data capture for delivery into back office systems, which sets us apart from our competitors.”
Dolphin Dynamics’ UK clients include ebookers, Wexas International, Hogg Robinson, TUI UK, STA Travel, Uniglobe Travel, Ilkeston Co-op Travel, RCI, Globespan, Ian Allan Travel, Global Village Travel Centre and Tailor Made Travel.
