United offers vaccination incentive to flight attendants
United Airlines latest vaccination incentives will reward its flight attendants and pilots.
Flight attendants will get up to three additional days off worth 10 hours of pay in their 2022 vacation day bank as long as they were fully vaccinated by 9 June.
For a first dose received by 10 June, workers will get two days at 6.5 hours of pay.
The program is voluntary although it states that international flight dury may be limited due to certain requirements imposed by other countries.
United last week offered pilots 13 hours of pay if they showed proof of vaccination.
United’s CEO, Scott Kirby earlier this year said he wanted to make vaccinations for frontline workers mandatory but the company hasn’t followed through with this yet.
Delta Air Lines said it will make vaccinations mandatory for any new hires.
Both Delta and American Airlines have been giving workers time off to get inoculated.
