Universal Orlando plans to reopen parks to the general public on June 5.

Orange County’s Economic Recovery Task Force approved Universal’s submission for reopening which will take a gradual path back to full operations.

It begins on June 1 and 2 when park employees will test new procedures followed by a limited number of invited guests like annual passholders.

Then the public will be allowed in although there it will be strictly capacity controlled.

Social distancing measures will be employed on all rides, and in all shops and restaurats.

Temperature checks will be carried out on entry and face coverings will be required.

Capacity will be limited to start and then ramped up in phases.

Buffet and self-service dining is postponed and interactive play areas closed.

Virtual lines will be expanded, while water features on attractions will be reduced or will stay closed entirely.
