US Airways announces new fares
US Airways added its new simplified fare structure, GoFares, to include 22 flights from Reagan Washington National and Washington Dulles International airports.
GoFares range from $79 to $499 one way and do not require a Saturday-night stay.
The new fare will be offered on flights from Washington to these cities:
Ft. Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, Orlando, Phoenix, Raleigh/Durham, Savannah, Atlanta, Chattanooga, Columbia (S.C.), Kansas City, New Orleans, Norfolk, Portland (Maine), White Plains, Ft. Myers, Jacksonville, Pensacola, Sarasota, Tallahassee, Tampa and West Palm Beach.
Independence Air already serves or plans to serve many of these destinations.
US Airways also kicked off a marketing campaign in the Washington metropolitan area to inform local residents about the fares.
