US Customs lines out of control
So many passengers have missed connecting fights in Miami that the airport has set aside an auditorium full of cots for them to sleep in.
From Miami to Dallas to New York, Chicago to LA, long lines at Customs are the norm this summer. The airlines have had to adjust their schedules to leave extra time for connecting passengers.
Blame it on sequestration, budget cuts, and just not enough Customs agents.
Over the past few months lines have increased dramatically, to more than two frustrating hours in many cases.
Miami Airport reportedly had asked for permission to install concession stands in its immigration halls to keep cranky customers watered and fed.
