US recovers from weekend flight disruption
Airline passengers are recovering from a weekend of disruption after hundreds of flight cancellations and delays in Dallas and Chicago.
Sudden storms brought flash floods and high winds on Saturday and Sunday. A severe thunderstorm warning was issued.
American Airlines had 236 flight cancellations yesterday and 816 delays while Texan airline Envoy Air had 201 cancellations and 424 delays.
Fort Worth International in Dallas suffered 421 cancellations yesterday and 839 delays, as well as 24 cancellations and 431 delays on Saturday.
Chicago O’Hare Airport experienced 24 cancellations and 508 delays yesterday and 24 cancellations and 321 delays on Saturday.
